Step-by-step
  1. With the rest of your class, fill out the "event" side of the marketing worksheet for your earth+ event.
  2. Choose a topic for your video (issue and solution).
  3. Research the topic with your teammate until you are both experts in it. You will want to divide the research task up between you and then share what you learn. Summarize what you have learned in a report to your teacher that demonstrates that you really do know all about it.
  4. Fill out the marketing worksheet for your video.
  5. Make a list of the elements of your video--locations, actions, objects and who you will interview about what.
  6. Find out more about each of those things, so that you have a very good idea of exactly what your video will show. This includes talking to potential interviewees about what they will talk about in the video. It also includes taking photos of the locations, actions and objects that you want to include. Keep all of this information in a notebook.
  7. Work together to write your script, in detail.
  8. Create a story board for your video.
  9. Evaluate your script using the Checklist for an Effective Earth+ Script & Story Board. Decide whether or not you are satisfied with it; if not then revise the script and story board.
  10. Practice presenting your script ideas and story board to another Green Ambassador team. Work out exactly what you will say and show to them (including the photos you took in step 5). Have them fill out the Earth+ Presentation or Activity Feedback Form.
  11. Present your script ideas and story board to the reviewers, and persuade them to support the production of your documentary. Listen to their comments. Revise your script as needed until you get the support you need to produce your video.
